- #16 Notre Dame 56, #3 Pittsburgh 51: “Enormous road win for the Irish tonight, as they utilized some great outside shooting and Ben “Get Out Of My Damn Way” Hansbrough down the stretch to come from behind against the top-notch Pitt Panthers. Carleton Scott’s 4-point play with about seven minutes left pushed the ND lead to 46-41, and they never relinquished it. Some awesome clear-outs for Ben after 30 seconds of burn in the waning minutes helped put it away. (When was the last time we had a guard who could work the clear-out? Seriously. When? - West Virginia suspends leading scorer indefinitely: “West Virginia head coach Bob Huggins announced Monday evening that leading scorer Casey Mitchell has been suspended indefinitely for a “violation of team rules.” Mitchell was also briefly suspended in October for an undisclosed violation of team rules, but he did not have to sit out any games.” (Card Chronicle)

For a team, that’s just bad but it shouldn’t surprise those who watched the game and are familiar with the formula I use. Missed shots and fouls are bad, Kansas had a lot of each.
