Buzz: Bad Behavior
I’m not sure if it is just because it is the preseason and there is nothing else for the media to focus in on, but it seems like a lot of people are getting in trouble lately. Outside of the ongoing Rick Pitino circus, which everyone is familiar with, and the Tyshawn Taylor incident (with reportedly multiple other Jayhawk basketball players involved) that exploded across the web today, there were 3 other recent stories that caught our eye:
- Billy Gillispie: Offered a plea deal for his DUI arrest, which we covered last month, but many of you may have missed with the Pitino story hogging all of the crazy college basketball coaches in Kentucky headlines.
- Southern Illinois guard Ryan Hare was suspended indefinitely after he was charged with aggravated battery and criminal trespassing.
- Army head coach Jim Crews was reportedly fired approximately 1 week after the Cadets were allowed to start having team workouts. The story gets even stranger when as nobody in the athletic department will comment on the situation.
