It may be an 8/9 game, but according to advanced metrics, this is anything but your typical 8/9 game. Both teams are among the top 15 teams in the country according to Ken Pomeroy’s rankings, outscoring opponents by about 0.2 points per possession over the course of the season. Still, looking [...]]]> http://rushthecourt.net/2012/03/16/ncaa-tournament-game-analysis-second-round-friday-evening/feed/ 0 NCAA Tournament Game Analysis: First Four – Wednesday Night http://rushthecourt.net/2012/03/14/ncaa-tournament-game-analysis-first-four-wednesday-night/ http://rushthecourt.net/2012/03/14/ncaa-tournament-game-analysis-first-four-wednesday-night/#respond Wed, 14 Mar 2012 16:15:44 +0000 http://rushthecourt.net/?p=65969

The ‘First Four’ play-in games continue on Wednesday night, hoping to repeat what was an incredible first night of games on Tuesday. We saw two of the greatest comebacks in NCAA Tournament history — in back-to-back games — on the opening night of the Big Dance! Both of tonight’s games are from the Midwest Region. Here’s what to watch for, including the primetime First Round matchup in the nightcap.

Technically the NCAA Board of Directors still has to approve the changes next Thursday, but that should be a rubber stamp situation given the unanimity in [...]]]> http://rushthecourt.net/2010/04/22/a-look-at-the-future-of-the-ncaa-tournament-for-now/feed/ 5
