Scouting reports just simply don’t ignore who’s playing hot. He became a threat coming down the stretch, especially for win-or-go-home situations in the postseason–it’s not like opposing teams were unaware of him as they drove deeper into March, especially when the season is on the line. But he excelled in last year’s BET and NCAA Tournament, despite the newfound attention that came his way during his ascension. He was playing well before “The Shot”–it’s not like he was a forgotten man until that play (although UNC did miss the trail man on that play)

Also, Jenkins is a capable passer–he isn’t terrible or phenomenal–per KenPom his turnover rate is actually higher than his assist rate this year. 11.3% assist rate vs. 13.5% turnover rate.

If anything, it will open up more opportunities to Brunson,Divincenzo and Paschall, and since the culture of the team is to pass up a good shot to get a great shot [and Kris is an excellent passer, the author is not accounting for this.
