Winning at USU is certainly impressive as I’ve said, but a case can be made that USU gave it everything it had in the game against SDSU (first top 10 opponent at the Spectrum in 7 seasons). Naturally a letdown, especially after a loss in that game, would follow. That said, New Mexico is the better team and it’s a good road win nonetheless, especially without Kirk.
The win against Cincinnati certainly looks better than it did at the time and the win over Marquette is decent.
It’s going to be tough for New Mexico to win the league. It is already 1 game behind SDSU in the loss column, although both teams still have to go to Boise and UNLV. Those games, along with the two head-to-head matchups, will decide it.

Oh, and they had no Alex Kirk playing either. Mark it down, UNM wins another MWC title when all is said and done.
