In regards to Duke, I’m very connected within the Duke recruiting scene and they have great reason to feel comfortable after his visit. Michigan State is also in very good shape as well, as I alluded to in the post when telling about how both have been neck-and-neck for months. Just passing along a recent tidbit coming off a visit.

As for Michael O’Brien, the Davis/UK/200K story was more than two years ago. I agree it was a mess, but since then, I’d say O’Brien learned from his mistakes.

Nevertheless, Parker will most likely play his basketball at Duke or MSU. Florida has an outside shot, but it’s not likely they will play much of role.

To be fair, that’s the same writer who stated Anthony Davis was going to UK for $200k. So I’d be wary of putting tons of weight behind that statement. If his source was from Duke I’d put little stock in the rumors as Izzo also seemed very happy after the visit. Bottom line, every school thinks they made headway. Unless it’s from Parker, his family, or coach, I’d be dubious.

Along the same vein, Roy Schmidt of prepbullseye in Chicago said that anyone who thinks there is a clear leader doesn’t have a clue. Fwiw he’s said MSU and Duke have been slight leaders.
