WVU visits South Bend, having dropped five of its last seven games — Notre Dame, on the other hand has won eight straight. The two teams played a great one last month, who will have the advantage tonight? We’ll find out on RTC Live from the Joyce Center…
Game #75. Notre Dame enters Wednesday’s matchup scorching hot, as the Irish have won eight consecutive games and currently sit at a very strong 11-3 in Big East play. West Virginia, at 17-10 overall and 7-7 in Big East play, enters Wednesday’s game probably on the right side of the bubble, but a win over Notre Dame would essentially place them firmly into the Field of 68. When these two teams met in Morgantown on February 8th, the Irish escaped with a come-from-behind 55-51 victory. Senior guard Truck Bryant and senior forward Kevin Jones will look to lead Bob Huggins’ Mountaineers squad to what would be a very important victory. Sophomore guards Eric Atkins and Jerian Grant along with junior forward Jack Cooley will look to lead Mike Brey’s Irish squad to its ninth consecutive victory.
