RTC Live: Dayton @ Murray State

Posted by rtmsf on December 4th, 2011

On a lazy Sunday, we’re going mid-major this afternoon with a tilt between two schools who have more pride and tradition between them than many of the power conferences basketball schools. Join us for our live coverage this afternoon, after the jump.

Game #47. It’s a mid-major battle in Murray, Kentucky, as the undefeated Murray State Racers host the Atlantic 10 co-favorite Dayton Flyers. The Racers are off to their best start in eight years, 8-0 and winners of the Great Alaska Shootout. The Flyers come in to the CFSB Center off of a 29-point loss at home to Buffalo, but are 5-2 on the season and winners of the Old Spice Classic. Both teams feature solid defenses that like to force turnovers, and will rely on junior guards in Kevin Dillard for the Flyers and Isaiah Canaan for the Racers to lead their offenses. Both teams play very similar styles, and are statistically very similar, so the game will likely come down to which team can execute their game plan better.
