RTC Live: UMBC @ St. John’s

Posted by rtmsf on November 13th, 2011

RTC Live is back today with a four-game slate from Queens to Berkeley. Somewhat unbelievably, St. John’s will tip it off for its third game already this season; join us live from Carnesecca Arena, after the jump.

Game 5: A young St. John’s team has needed comebacks in each of its first two contests against mid-major opponents William & Mary and Lehigh. If the Red Storm need a third against UMBC today, there might be some questions about just how far this young team can go this season even now that Steve Lavin has returned to the bench. The Retrievers fell to Penn on Friday night in Philadelphia, 59-45, with star point guard Chris De La Rosa stuck on the sideline. UMBC will need De La Rosa, who is recovering from an ankle injury, back if they’re going to contend with St. John’s tough pressure defense. It should be another test for the Red Storm’s youth movement.

Can you please, please point me to where it says that UMBC’s nickname is the Terriers?
