					<description><![CDATA[I am a North Dakota alum so it is a touchy subject, but I agree that the time has come for UND to change the nickname.

While I think there a lot of politics going on with the tribe that hasn&#039;t approved the nickname (the majority of the trible actually likes the nickname, the leaders have opposed it), and I think the NCAA is being a bit unfair in their treatment, UND is just asking for trouble.

The debate has been raging for more than a few years, and it will not die down anytime soon even if UND would somehow win an appeal and be able to use it. Now that is may be threatening the Big Sky affiliation (which would be a disaster for UND athletics), the time has come to change it. Many alums might not be happy with it, but it is causing a lot more trouble than it is worth. It is time to change it and move on.]]></description>
