Bevo – I understand where you’re coming from although Madoff’s actions of cheating/lying actually impacted people’s lives to their detriment. I’m not sure the same can be said for Valvano’s coaching life (the cheating/lying I think you’re referring to). But I’m also not going to gloss over that part of it — he got away with quite a bit of nasty stuff in Raleigh (nasty from an amateur sports perspective). Still, the work that he did upon getting cancer to set up the V Foundation and the subsequent good that it’s done far, far outweigh any dirty business he pulled at NC State. Just my opinion.
