I remember them making some giant deal out of it because of Hoosiers.

Bloomington? I agree they need to get out of going to places like Lawrence and Chapel Hill every week, just not sure ESPN GameDay was around the last time Bloomington was relevant.

It was a great day and the crowd was intense. Yes, the game didn’t have a lot of TV value (final score: 48-44 Salukis) but I am surprised that they’ve never gone back to a mid-major school.

Yeah I just think it could be a lot better if they thought outside the box and let their hair down a little bit. College hoops inherently has more atmosphere than football, yet it comes across dull and boring on TV.

As for JR’s question: Now that I can get ESPN3 stuff on my TV via my XBOX360 (best. partnership. ever.), I’d be happy to pay $100 or even $200 for the year to be able to literally watch any game I wanted. They already charge more than that for ESPN Full Court, which has a very limited scope as it is.

The whole thing is freaking staged. Duke’s student section doesn’t do large signs, or the given out commercial signage, but they basically hand these out and require people to make signs (or well not require, but heavily push it on the fans who are there). It’s just lame.

As far as the yelling, that seems a product of being inside a loud arena and so close to the fans. They have to yell to hear themselves talk. NCAAF Gameday is seperated a bit from the stands on a stage, not so with NCAAB.

Finally, I love ESPN3. Dropped cable because of all the games I can watch. I miss out on some but there are more than enough to make up for it on ESPN3.

My question is, how much would you be willing to pay per year for unlimited access to every D1 game the NCAA has? You can watch on demand, search the game you want, etc.
