So apparently Anthony Davis has been in the news. . . Outside of that fiasco there was also a bit of other news on the recruiting circuit.

  • Stephen Curry‘s time at Davidson has not yielded any benefits for Bob McKillop on the recruiting trail yet, but the development of his current European players may yield the former Southern Conference power with a unique group of recruits from across the Atlantic.
  • Dayton has officially closed the recruiting for its class of 2011 after adding LaDonte Henton, a swingman out of Michigan, to go with Percy Gibson who committed to the Flyers last week
  • LaQuinton Ross, a top 75 recruit with an interesting past, has narrowed down his list to 5 schools: Syracuse, West Virginia, Ohio State, Baylor, and Mississippi State.
  • While the top center in this year’s class committed last week, Isaiah Austin, next year’s top center (class of 2012), will reportedly announce his choice tonight.
  • Quincy Miller, this year’s top recruit who hasn’t committed, is drawing rave reviews with some people comparing him to “a young Kevin Durant“.
