I think it was DraftExpress where I saw they reported he was never offered by Cuse. I stand corrected.

I can’t get Jackson’s performance against Butler out of my head. Truly one for the ages.

Kevin Jones was indeed offered a scholly by the Cuse and at one point the last remaining scholly came down to Mookie Jones or Kevin Jones … which ever player bit first ended up with it. Kevin decided WVU was the place for him and Mookie chose the Cuse. By the way Jones at #3 is too high … he is a good player don’t get me wrong but with Butler and Ebanks gone I don’t see him having a breakout year … at least a big enough year to warrant a ranking that high in a loaded conference … and there are always sleepers lurking. How Rick Jackson didn’t make the Top 20 still blows my mind … if anyone stands to prosper from Onuaku leaving its him …

Fab Melo maybe, Kris Joseph maybe, Malik Wayans maybe. Kemba walker has an outside chance too i’d say. Other than that no one. Dont see the talent as high in the BE this year individually certainly, probably teamwise too. BE will still be top 3 nationally though.

I hate Lville and I’m afraid this kid might be a stud. I also really like that Brooks like from Providence and I think Rick Jackson of ‘cuse will have a great season. Big East is looking pretty good.

Kris Joseph is a top 3 player with a decent shot at Player of the Year, depending on how SU does this year. I’d have Gates higher. Who wouldn’t take him over Pena? I’d also take Gibbs, Hazell and Wright over Abromaitis.

Just ask Jim Boeheim. Kid lost 30 pounds last year and has all the skills.

Incoming freshman Fab Melo will slip in for graduate Arinze Onuaku, Rick Jackson is back along with Big East 6th man of the year Kris Joseph filling out a deep frontcourt. The backcourt and maybe the most talented player on the team will comprise of Scoop Jardine and a host of shooters, triche, waiters, jones. Syracuse will be able to play 5 in the backcourt.

The problem standing between Syracuse and a National Championship is Jim Boeheim. What that you say? Yes Jim Boeheim that hall of fame top winning coach etc etc. Jim has NEVER felt comfortable playing more than 7. His inability to effectively rotate the backcourt will ultimately be his demise this year.

I expect Syracuse to still be a top 15 team to start and potentionally even with ONLY 7 players in rotation be in the top 10 nationally. In the end its a gamble, a gamble that cost Boeheim a National Championship last year after having to replace Orinze in the center with a freshman that played less than 2 minutes a game. Can a player coach 30 some odd years in the business change in one season? Nope!

Expect Syracuse to be good, and even great at times. But this team that could legitimately play 10 and be a dominating, frustrating, exhausting, pressing opponent. Instead Boeheim will stick to 7 and claim that Waiters or Riley or Southerland or the next 8th man just isnt ready. Yeah…OK JIM.

He is easily the best defensive player in this league. I really cannot believe Fab Melo, who has yet to touch the floor, could rate not only over him but some of the others you have on the honorable mention list.

Mark it down, he will be a first team all big east player this year.
