Pitt as a 3 seed seems crazy from a talent perspective, but it’s tough to argue with the earlier Syracuse win, and the last 3 against West Virginia, at Marquette, and against Villanova.

– BYU would not be placed in either Spokane or St. Louis since they are both Fri/Sun sites.
– The play in winner would not play in Oklahoma City since it is a Th/Sat site. They are required to go to a Fri/Sun site.
– New Mexico & BYU would not be in the same resion since the top three teams from a conference are required to be in different regions.
