Even though I should never have been up at those hours as a kid, I used to sneak that late game on Monday nights when I was much younger. I learned a lot about programs and players from the western US through that late game. I miss it.

Agree with everything you said there, Andrew. And yes, I do remember when Big Monday was a triple-header with the Big West jumping in for the late game.
But if ESPN can literally have a college football game on every night but Monday during certain weeks, it doesn’t make sense that they can’t do one or two games at all on Friday nights.
]]>And, I’ve said it for years now, one of the mid-major conferences should be the first to try this out… Take the WCC for example. A couple years back they switched to playing their weekday games on Thursday nights. You know, the same night that the Pac-10, the WCC’s main competition in terms of getting eyes on sets (well, most years at least), has had their games for as long as I can remember. Part of that is because they want to play the Thursday/Saturday thing, but I think the WCC would be much better off sending a couple of their games to Friday night. (And, while I’m on the topic, remember when Big Monday used to have a third game at 9pm PST, either Big West in the early days or WCC for a couple years there at the end? That needs to happen again. Perhaps in conjunction with the WCC’s move to Friday, they could also have a game on Monday night).
And, since no West Coast team is going to want to play at 4pm, sign up the A-10 (or ConfUSA or MVC or somebody) to have the early game on Fridays.
]]>Sucka Free prices. Inflation and all that.
]]>One dollar. That’s the most you should ever pay — not because that’s all it’s worth, but because that’s all the PBR expects of you.
