Jack – we’ve covered that issue on this site several times, and it’s absurd on its face for sure. It started after Gardner-Webb defeated Kentucky in Rupp a few yrs ago and the group sponsoring the tournament missed out on all the Ky fans traveling to NYC.

What’s the point of even scheduling the “tournament” if the semifinals are scheduled in advance? I mean, I know these preseason tourneys are meant to be a showcase for the top-tier talent, but why even call them “tournaments” at this point if they’re going to do that?
