If you’re referring to the Midnight Madness (not necessarily Univ. of Kentucky’s Big Blue Madness) countdown clock up in the top right section of the site, unless I’m mistaken it’s counting down to 8pm on Friday October 16th (this Friday). That’s the time that many schools around the country will start their actual “Midnight Madness” celebration. Since Rush The Court covers college basketball on a national scale and not just the Kentucky program, we felt like that time was a good one to have the clock go to all-zeroes. That’s why the clock might not be counting down to the exact time that Kentucky’s thing begins. It’s for MM as a whole, not just UK’s.

If someone’s just started looking at this website over the past few months, I could probably see where they’d think we favored the state of KY in our coverage. The fact is, the Kentucky and Louisville programs have been such big newsmakers over the past few months, they’ve probably dominated the coverage since the end of the last tournament; I don’t know if anyone’s done an official count. With the team that Kentucky has and with what’s going on with Rick Pitino and the Louisville program, there’s a pretty good chance they’ll both continue to make appearances here.
