I’ll stick to basketball when you explain to me the curious notion of these “haters of the expansion of govt” having their little teabag parties now. Where were they the last eight years? What changed in the past two months that has them so upset (other than their pending tax cuts) that they feel the need to protest now as they sat on their hands during the last eight yrs of federal govt expansion? Sure is odd, feller.

Neocons and the tea party movement protesting the ever expanding reach of the federal government are not mutually exclusive. In fact, I’d say the tea parties are probably about as far removed from the basic tenents of neo-conservatism as they can possibly get. It’s like saying Ron Paul & Newt Gingrich are equal. Obviously they are not and aren’t remotely close. Then again, if you want to argue that tea parties are analogous to respecting the restrictions placed on the federal government as per the US Constitution then OK. But then you would be saying that the US Constitution is nonsense. I mean, maybe you think that, but my guess is that you should obviously stick to basketball.
