Winning nine BE games in a row IS impressive, but it takes a certain toughness and consistency to do it in March under the heat of the lights on the big stage. We’re asking where it’s been b/c this group of players at UConn is only NOW showing what it’s capable of. We’ve continually expected domination from this group, but we haven’t seen it. I said maybe now they’re going to start showing it.

Nine straight wins in the Big East, going into Notre Dame and winning, going into Louisville and winning, knocking off their bête noire Providence — all convincing victories. What other team has been this convincing? Wake Forest, with two bad losses? Duke? North Carolina? Pitt? The answer is, none. Show me another team that’s been more impressive since the first of the year. Oklahoma? Sorry, not with this year’s Big 12. Are they perfect? No. If Louisville was sitting back in a zone, it rather than trying to press, they probably would’ve had a chance. Syracuse matches up better than Louisville does with UConn. But no team is perfect. They simply answered the bell in every game except Georgetown. Cut them some slack. I have an idea, why don’t you write about the team that you think is better.
