Well, these guys were all high school all-americans so it was definitely worth it for the colleges recruiting them that's a no-brainer. Most of these freshmen helped turn these colleges into top basketball school like Kansas state, USC and more. Speaking of USC it was definitely worth it when OJ Mayo came he gave USC so much attention. USC was never a basketball school it was a football school but OJ Mayo helped change that. And now Demar DeRozan is coming who is already a top 3 pick next year and remember Brandon Jennings committed to USC first before he decided to go to Arizona. OJ mayo really helped USC the same with Mike Beasley and Bill Walker did for Kansas State. For the rest of the schools like Syracuse and Ohio State they didn't really benefit because they didn't win but that doesn't mean they don't want all-americans anymore. Its because of those stupid NBA scouts that like to pick players on bad teams and draft them high like Anthony Randolph and Donte Greene. I personally believe the NBA should change the have to go to college one year rule because clearly it doesn't really benefit the players much. And look at Bill Walker his decision to go to college basically screwed him because he got injured. OJ Mayo got screwed because he would have been the #1 pick had he came got of high school but in USC he sucked. Eric Gordon's value dropped in college as well as Deandre Jordan. So I wouldn't say college is good.

Yeah, it was worth it! This is akin to the Germans on June 5, 1944. They might have gotten wrecked afterwards, but that was a pretty good day.
